Ana Margarida Alves
CEO & Co-Founder at CortexXus
I’m a Portuguese entrepreneur and my dream is leave a positive mark in the world. My academic background is in business, I worked 8+ years in financial markets. I have always had the dream and the bravery of fighting for causes which eventually lead me to work with UN Women. In 2015, I decided move on and change my career and attended a Data Science Bootcamp. After that I started to explore the Health care market. Those two events changed all my career goals and what I would like to do next. Why continue working without a mission? My mission is helping people and improving their health and their lives. In 2017, my co-founders and I launched CortexXus Inc., a company in the brain health space, of which I’m the CEO. At CortexXus, our mission is to put the latest technology to the service of Brain Disorders’ patients. CortexXus’ first product targets Epilepsy. At CortexXus, our goal is to help patients and caregivers enjoy a better and more tranquil life, and to provide physicians with the information to make accurate decisions for the health of their patients.

Then, suddenly, you are doing the impossible. - Coehlo, Earhart, Aesop, Saint-Exupery, Assissi
